Willem van Enter, Regional director Benelux: Nice introduction on VMware and its history, and passes the mike to Richard Garsthagen:<\/p>\n

Richard Garsthagen from VMware delivered a great story on the future of IT, Clouds and how to actually get there. Reducing complexity, combining services within VMware as a single, complete solution. Things like offloading virusscanning outside the VMs from Trend Micro Deep Security 7.5. Things like this will make VMs extremely secure, and will cut cost. <\/p>\n

A new product is VMware vCloud Request manager. This applications will enable to accept requests for VMs, complete with a workflow for approving the request and the actual creation and feedback. Even complete clouds can be requested as a whole, which delivers an entire environment ready to go, cvomplete with approvals etc. Sounds sweet!<\/p>\n

Another new product is VMware Alive. This application measures both normal and abnormal performance of your virtual environment. VM’s not behaving as expected will be easily identified by the application.<\/p>\n

And of course, iPad and iPhone stuff. Control your VMware environment with easy from your iPad… “There’s an App for that!!”. So when is all of this coming for your iPhoney?? \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
